Notes updated on 07/03/2019-

As you know, there are THOUSANDS of men and women who, every day, work full-time in order to maintain that freedom for us…

And there are THOUSANDS who’ve done this since our country was birthed…

That said, meet T-Bone.

Last week a crew of us from all over the U.S., some guys Lt. Col. David Trombly refers to as his “wingmen,” converged on the Naval Air Station in Pensacola for his retirement.

T-Bone, as he’s called, is known for several policy changes in the Marine Corps, and his been training pilots for the past season of his life. Notably, his final flight took place with his son… whom he got to train.

The name…?.

One day David was flying- years ago- and lost power. In mid-air.
.
In his words, “By the grace of God I got the plane to a field where we could bring it down safely without any injuries…”.

He adds, “By my excellent flight skills I was able to miss 49 of the 50 cows that were in that field. I t-boned the final one, earning the nickname forever.”.

True story.

In this episode of the podcast- a rewind from a few years ago- we talk about David’s fight with cancer. As he sees it, he was given 18 extra years and is now living an extension of grace…

We talk about it here.
